Celebrate our Birthdays & Protect Disability Rights!

August is the birthday of the Board members from 10 Minutes A Day & DIYabled, two disability led & focused nonprofits. The 27th &
29th are the founders'/EDs' special days Here's how you can help us & the disability community protect our rights & celebrate our milestones this year, like the 50th anniversary of the IDEA Act, which helps disabled students get essential accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act, which has been a law for 35 years, & our community leaders who are working hard to make sure our community gets visibility, amplification, an understanding by society the fact that disabled people are people, not folks to cast away. We make our events accessible & as supportive as possible, & we'd love your help to make sure our community has a seat at the table. Here's how to help us celebrate!2

Help Make Accessibility a Reality
Be an Accessibility Superstar!
We're committed to making our events & activities as accessible as possible. To do that, we need help! Contribute to our accessibility fund, which covers costs for critical services, like ASL, captions, event caps lifted, live chat/tech assistance, & more, so we can include as many people in our community as we can! Every "little" bit is a big deal to us, and it adds up! Contribute anything if you can today, and be part of our Accessibility Team!! The services we offer are essential but can be costly, so every little bit helps us make inclusion a reality.

We love to hang out with the disability community, so we host everything from advocacy workshops to art festivals. One of our regular activities is also just giving everyone a chance to be in community, talk about their thoughts, and get support--so, we host virtual hangouts to make that happen. Sign up for our events list, & we'll email you about our activities, which are free & available to our community & friends. Disabled people are the largest national & global minority, & we're often overlooked, but if you press the button, you'll get updates on how to stop that & protect our community,

Spread the Word!
Spread the Word & Protect the Disability Community!
You can press the button to create a post on Facebook to let people know that we're under attack, but we'll keep fighting back--but we need their help. Whether they can follow us, sign up for our list/join the team, or even contribute a small amount (we've had donations as low as $1, & every one pays for disabled creators, Zoom fees wth additional accessibility features, ASL, & many other things that are pricey but essential for many of our community friends. Please share our info & homepage by clicking the button below. Make sure your friends know what type of support we need, why it's critical for an often invisible minority to mobilize without help because of chronic illness, & that any support goes to to intersectional, disability led & focused nonprofits!. We need was much help as we can!
